Have you seen Julie and Julia? Its a great film. A film about a woman who wants to better herself via cooking ridiculously tasty French food... and then she blogs about it. Its a great premise. And its a chick flick. This is the male response to that movie. Instead of cooking ridiculously tasty food, I will lift heavy things in a variety of ways. Get it. I'm a man. I do not cook. (I'm not sexist, its a joke)
Maybe one day someone will make a movie about this blog. I would be okay with this on the premise that I am played by Jason Statham because that guy is awesome despite the fact that he is British making his awesomeness all the more impressive.
Anyway, I decided to give this p90x nonsense a whirl and to keep me motivated I figured I'd even write about it. Partly because it will keep me motivated and partly because I like the attention.
A little about me. I'm in decent enough shape but have recently turned 30 and have begun to notice some extra chunk where there probably shouldn't be. I'm going to stick to the program and do this 6 days a week.
In the end I hope to be awesome.
I just finished the upper body and ab workout for the day. It took an hour and my arms are jello. I feel as if I have angered my stomach in a significant way. Perhaps the residual beer and cheese that lives there is staging some sort of revolt due to what I just put it through. I can only guess. I'm going to take a nap now.
